Ingredients

Cheese Base

  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup plain full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 2 grated garlic cloves

Toppings and Garnishes

  • 1 cup homemade or jarred tomato bruschetta (DeLallo brand recommended)
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. balsamic glaze
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil leaves

For Serving

  • Grilled crostini or pita

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400ºF (204ºC) to get it ready for baking the dip evenly.
  2. Combine Cheese Mixture: In a large bowl, mix the softened goat cheese, cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, Greek yogurt, and grated garlic cloves until well blended and creamy.
  3. Transfer to Baking Dish: Grease a 1-quart baking dish or an ovenproof skillet and spread the cheese mixture evenly inside.
  4. Bake the Dip: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes until the mixture is warm and bubbling.
  5. Add Bruschetta and Garnish: Remove the baked cheese dip from the oven, spoon the tomato bruschetta evenly over the top, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and sprinkle fresh chopped basil leaves.
  6. Serve: Serve warm immediately with grilled crostini or pita on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Softening the cheeses to room temperature ensures a smooth, creamy dip consistency.
  • Use freshly grated garlic for best flavor, but garlic powder can be substituted if needed.
  • The balsamic glaze adds a touch of sweetness and acidity that complements the tangy cheeses and tomatoes.
  • Grilled crostini or pita chips provide a sturdy and flavorful vehicle for the dip.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
