A quick and healthy baked oats recipe that combines rolled oats, ripe banana, and a touch of sweetness, perfect for a single serving breakfast or snack. This gluten-free, protein-rich comfort food is easy to prepare in under 30 minutes and can be customized with cocoa powder for a chocolate twist.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (optional, for chocolate flavor)

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Other

  • Cooking spray (for greasing the ramekin)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a ramekin or an oven-safe small baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the rolled oats, ripe banana, egg, maple syrup, baking powder, salt, and optional cocoa powder. Blend until the mixture is smooth and homogenous, about 1 minute.
  3. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared ramekin. Place it in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
  4. Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and allow the baked oats to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before serving. Optionally, add frosting or toppings of your choice.

  • Use ripe bananas for natural sweetness and better texture.
  • This recipe is gluten-free if you use certified gluten-free oats.
  • Feel free to top baked oats with fresh fruit, nuts, or yogurt for added nutrition.
