A vibrant and refreshing fruit salad combining strawberries, pineapple, grapes, mandarin oranges, kiwis, and blueberries, tossed in a sweet honey and lime dressing with a hint of poppy seeds. Perfect for a healthy snack or a light dessert that comes together in minutes.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 1 lb strawberries, tops removed and quartered
  • 3 cups chopped pineapple (about 1 pineapple)
  • 2 cups red grapes, cut in half at equator (10 oz)
  • 1 cup mandarin orange slices (7 oz)
  • 3 kiwis, peeled, sliced, and halved
  • 1 ½ cups fresh blueberries (8 oz)

Dressing

  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (from about 2 limes)
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Combine Fruits: In a large mixing bowl, add all the prepared fruits and toss them together until they are well combined and evenly distributed.
  2. Prepare Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, fresh lime juice, and poppy seeds until the mixture is smooth and thoroughly combined.
  3. Dress the Salad: Pour the honey-lime dressing evenly over the mixed fruits. Gently stir the salad once more to make sure the dressing coats all the fruit pieces evenly without bruising them.
  4. Serve or Chill: Serve the fruit salad immediately for the freshest taste, or cover and refrigerate it until ready to serve, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.

Notes

  • Use ripe, fresh fruits for the best flavor and texture.
  • Adjust the honey quantity according to your preferred sweetness.
  • Chilling the salad for 30 minutes before serving enhances the flavors.
  • Optional: Add a handful of chopped fresh mint for a refreshing twist.
  • Serve as a healthy snack, dessert, or side dish at gatherings.
