Delightfully tangy and creamy Dill Pickle Deviled Eggs are a fun twist on a classic appetizer. Combining hard-boiled eggs with mayo, dill pickle juice, fresh dill, and minced pickles, these deviled eggs offer a bright, zesty flavor perfect for parties or snack times. Topped with chopped dill pickles, they bring a crunchy texture and a refreshing dill punch in every bite.

Ingredients

Eggs

  • 6 large eggs

Filling

  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons dill pickle brine/juice
  • 3 tablespoons minced dill pickles
  • 1/2 tablespoon freshly minced dill

Garnish

  • Chopped dill pickles to top

Instructions

  1. Boil the Eggs: Place the 6 large eggs in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until hard-boiled, about 10-12 minutes. Then cool the eggs in ice water to stop cooking and make peeling easier.
  2. Prepare the Eggs: Peel the cooled eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl, setting the egg whites aside.
  3. Make the Filling: To the bowl with egg yolks, add 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons dill pickle brine, 3 tablespoons minced dill pickles, and 1/2 tablespoon freshly minced dill. Whip the mixture thoroughly until smooth and creamy to ensure an evenly flavored filling.
  4. Fill the Eggs: Transfer the filling to a piping bag or use a spoon to fill each egg white half with the creamy yolk mixture. Pipe or spoon the filling neatly into the cavities of the egg whites.
  5. Garnish and Chill: Sprinkle chopped dill pickles on top of each filled egg half for added crunch and dill flavor. Refrigerate the deviled eggs for at least 20 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld and the filling firm up.

Notes

  • Use fresh eggs for easier peeling when boiled.
  • The amount of dill pickle brine can be adjusted to taste depending on how tangy you prefer your deviled eggs.
  • Chilling the eggs before serving improves flavor and texture.
  • These deviled eggs can be made a few hours ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator.
  • For extra texture, try adding a small dash of smoked paprika on top just before serving.
