A perfect autumn-inspired cold beverage with warming spices like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves, served chilled over ice for a delightful seasonal treat.

Ingredients

Pumpkin Spice Mixture

  • 3 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground ginger
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • 1 strong espresso coffee (about 30 ml)

Milk Base

  • 250 ml milk (or plant-based drink)
  • Ice cubes (enough to fill a tall glass)

Whipped Cream Topping

  • 100 ml cold liquid cream (full-fat)
  • 1/2 teaspoon icing sugar
  • Ground cinnamon (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pumpkin Spice Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, nutmeg, ground cloves, liquid vanilla, and maple syrup. Mix thoroughly until all spices are evenly incorporated.
  2. Add Espresso: Pour in the strong espresso coffee and stir well. Blend if necessary to achieve a smooth, homogeneous texture.
  3. Chill Mixture: Place the spiced pumpkin coffee mixture in the refrigerator and allow it to cool completely, ensuring the flavors meld and the mixture is chilled before serving.
  4. Assemble Drink: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes, then pour the chilled pumpkin spice mixture over the ice.
  5. Add Milk: Pour the cold milk or plant-based drink into the glass with the spiced mixture and gently stir with a spoon or straw to combine.
  6. Whip Cream: Using an electric mixer, whip the cold full-fat liquid cream together with the icing sugar until it forms a smooth, slightly thickened texture suitable for topping.
  7. Finish and Serve: Spoon or pour the whipped cream over the top of the latte and sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on the whipped cream. Serve immediately and enjoy your iced pumpkin spice latte.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, use plant-based milk such as almond or oat milk and substitute the cream with coconut cream.
  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of maple syrup or honey to your preference.
  • Espresso can be replaced with strong brewed coffee if an espresso maker is not available.
  • For a stronger spice flavor, increase the amount of ground cinnamon and nutmeg slightly.
  • Whipped cream can be skipped or replaced with dairy-free alternatives if desired.
