This creamy Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo combines tender shredded chicken, tender fettuccine noodles, and a rich parmesan-infused sauce made with heavy cream and chicken stock, cooked quickly under pressure for a comforting and flavorful meal ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 pound dry fettuccine noodles (8 oz), broken in half
  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 12 ounces shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Add Ingredients to Instant Pot: Pour the chicken stock, heavy cream, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper into the Instant Pot. Add the broken fettuccine noodles on top, ensuring not to stir. Gently push the noodles down so they are fully submerged under the liquid to ensure even cooking.
  2. Add Chicken and Seal: Place the cooked shredded chicken on top of the noodles. Secure the Instant Pot lid, lock it, and close the valve to the pressure cook setting to prepare for pressure cooking.
  3. Pressure Cook: Set the Instant Pot to Manual or Pressure Cook mode on high pressure for 7 minutes. Once the cooking completes, allow a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then carefully perform a quick release to fully depressurize.
  4. Add Parmesan and Serve: Slowly stir in the shredded parmesan cheese into the hot pasta until the sauce turns creamy and smooth. Serve immediately to enjoy the rich, cheesy chicken alfredo.

Notes

  • Do not stir the noodles before cooking to prevent clumping and ensure even pressure cooking.
  • If preferred, use freshly grated parmesan cheese for the best texture and flavor.
  • Use cooked chicken leftovers or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Adjust seasoning like salt, pepper, and lemon juice to taste before pressure cooking.
  • For an extra creamy dish, you may add a tablespoon of butter after pressure cooking along with cheese.
