A refreshing and nutritious Strawberry Banana Smoothie made with fresh or frozen fruit, creamy Greek yogurt, and sweetened with honey or maple syrup. Perfect for a quick breakfast or healthy snack, this smoothie blends vibrant flavors with a creamy texture in just minutes.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 1 ripe fresh banana, cut into chunks (frozen works too)
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries, hulled

Dairy

  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (non-fat, low-fat, or whole milk)
  • ½ cup milk

Sweeteners

  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Gather the banana, frozen strawberries, Greek yogurt, milk, and honey or maple syrup. If using fresh strawberries, hull them by removing the green leafy tops.
  2. Add to Blender: Place the banana chunks, strawberries, Greek yogurt, milk, and honey or maple syrup into a blender.
  3. Blend: Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. You may stop and scrape down the sides if needed for an even blend.
  4. Taste and Adjust: Taste the smoothie and add more honey or maple syrup if additional sweetness is desired. If the smoothie is thicker than you like, add a little more milk and blend again until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Serve: Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately to enjoy its fresh flavors and creamy texture.

Notes

  • Frozen strawberries help create a thicker and colder smoothie; fresh strawberries can be used but may result in a thinner drink.
  • Adjust milk quantity to achieve preferred smoothie thickness.
  • Honey or maple syrup can be swapped with other natural sweeteners or omitted for less sweetness.
